The book that we will be using is "History Alive." This publisher uses lots of hands on activites to make history engaging.

Food Processing

Students will create comic strips to show how food is processed now and how it was processed long ago. We will be visiting a farm to see how they grow our food.

Family Tree

Students will interview family memebersto find out how their family moved to the Bay Area. They will use maps to show where their ancestors and family came from. They will also create a family tree to show how 1 genetic trait was passed down in their family.

People Who Make a Difference:

We will be reading biographies of people who made a difference. We will be drawing conclusings what character traits they posess. Students will be writing narratives about someone in their lives that made a difference.
