Overview

This project has evolved over many years.  For the first few years, students completed hand-written products in notebooks.  Then there were a few years when they glued computer-generated pages into booklets. And just recently, they printed and produced their own hand made books.  Each year, improvements were made to the design of the project.  Each year, students wrote and produced more and more insightful responses.  Parents, teachers, and students were pleased with the final products, but they were just that--final.  At the end of the year, the books were placed with other school papers at home, and maybe re-read over time.

It is exciting to see I want to talk about me. transformed into this project-based learning activity.  The basics remain, but through research, exploration, and incorporation of best practices and technology, the students will now produce a living product.  Their multi-media autobiography will continue to grow as they do, allowing them to add the next chapters of their life story.
